Teaching labs
Hands-on course material for operating systems, cloud, middleware and DevOps (2017-2025)
Over eight years I have taught systems and cloud topics in three institutions, always with the same bias: students should type commands on real machines rather than read about them.
🐧 Advanced Operating Systems — University of Tlemcen (2017-2020)
Bachelor-level course on Ubuntu Linux: shell and file management, networking, then C programming for processes, scheduling, synchronization, signals, and inter-process communication.
☁️ Cloud Computing and Signal Processing — University of Tlemcen (2018-2019)
Master-level introductions to cloud development tooling in Java, and to signal analysis with MATLAB applied to audio feature extraction.
🧱 Middleware — Nantes Université (2024)
24 hours of Master-level teaching on cloud and edge platforms: OpenStack deployment, Docker and Kubernetes, multi-tier observability, and lifecycle adaptation. Taught with Daniel Balouek.
🔁 DevOps — IMT Atlantique continuing education (2025)
DevOps principles for professionals: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation, with an Ansible-driven voting application as the running exercise. Taught with Hélène Coullon.
🧑🎓 Supervision
I supervised three Master’s internships at the University of Tlemcen on daily activity detection in smart homes, deep clustering for non-intrusive device monitoring, and anomaly detection in electricity consumption. Details are on the teaching page.
